Welcome to the resources page for the H-Shot Incubator teams I’ll be working with.
I’m looking forward to our workshop together.
Here’s what you need to know now:
The Objective:
Our goal is to help your team build a Core Hypothesis, a sequence of Key Decisions, and a list of Knowledge Gaps. These concepts can help a team like yours optimize the time and money you have to invest in the project.
The Core Hypothesis is an alignment tool — it helps you all stay together even on a project where everyone is learning quickly about a lot of different things.
Key Decisions are high impact / high unknown decisions. We strive to make these decisions at the right time, with the right people and the best available knowledge.
Knowledge Gaps are the things you need to know to make a decision.
The videos below explain these concepts more thoroughly. You may watch them before we meet, or you may want to watch them afterwards. Total viewing time is about one hour.
I’ve also included a video about Knowledge Capture because this may also help you as you prepare your deliverables for the DOE to submit for the next phase of the project.
Pre-Work:
Please consider these before we meet:
- What’s New? What are you doing for the very first time, even if someone else has already done it?
- What’s Unique? What are you doing that no one has ever done before? Where are you pushing the boundaries of the known?
- What’s Difficult? What will be inherently difficult about this? Where are the areas that even an experienced team would struggle?
